STOP GO! Screenprint 1/10, 21.5cm x 28cm

This is a screen print made entirely from paper stencils, screen filler & drawing fluid. I made it as an example for my beginners screen printing class to demonstrate(hopefully)how you can create a vibrant, fun, multilayered print from using only the most basic techniques.

Source: Fife Herald, Friday, November 13, 2009.

13/Nov/2009

Work by an artist from Tayport is being showcased at a prestigious exhibition. Two etchings by artist printmaker Claire McVinnie have gone on display at the annual exhibition hosted by the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts.

Both images are of horses playing in the Sonoron Desert, Arizona, where Claire spent some time a couple of years ago.

Fellow Tayport artists Will MacLean and Marian Leven, along with Marj Bond from Gateside, also have work on show.

The exhibition runs at the Mitchell in Glasgow until Sunday, November 29.
